Roy Lowry
Graduating in commercial art from Spokane, WA, Roy worked in Chicago as an illustrator for a national sign company achieving national recognition. Relocating t Spokane, Roy begins painting watercolor gaining notoriety at the annual Western Art Show. Moving to Alaska Roy backpacks the State and works on a crab boat fishing out of Dutch Harbor. Roy locates his art studio in Whittier, AK preparing for shows in Anchorage and Fairbanks. After traveling throughout England and Scotland then moving to Hawaii, Roy begins a 15-year career as an accomplished textile designer and a creative director for a well known tropical shirt manufacturer. Settling in Ocean Shores Roy returns to painting in watercolor and pastel. Co-founding local charity North Beach Artists Guild and the Gallery of Ocean Shores Roy helps bring art and art education to the local community through exhibits and teaching weekly art classes.
