Shawn Ramirez

Surrounded by multiple generations of artists who have always inspired and encouraged her love of art, Shawn Ramirez started painting and drawing when she was a child. Her parents, Sandra and Ken Dust, show their art locally. Shawn’s acrylic and mixed media paintings use bold colors and textures to lure the viewer into her work. Her work explores current events, personal experiences, spirituality and nature. The relationship she has to those motivating elements drives the creation of her work. She develops a personal connection to the painting. She wishes to bring the viewer into this connection.
