Ikeda Yoshiro

My works are hand built or wheel thrown forms which pull ideas from my surroundings and experiences. They have reflected the organic aspects of nature, the ever changing weather, and the art of dancing. These forms give an endless line of movement which continues to provoke curiosity. Thus the asymmetrical aspect of my work brings an eternal challenge to the balance of harmony and beauty of forms, which is created with the manipulation of the resources known to the clay media.
