The landscape and agriculture of Oregon's lush Willamette Valley provide endless inspiration for painter Arletha Mueller Ryan. From the season's first raspberries to the quiet, yellow fall hillsides, Ryan's oil paintings strike a chord with Oregon's many admirers. She graduated from the University of Oregon and has studied at the Pacific Northwest College of Art and Marylhurst University. A favorite with decorators and interior designers, Ryan's mellow mood can also be seen at the Portland Art Museum, Natures Northwest and the Portland Building.
