Jeff Nichols

Known for his oil paintings of the land and sea, Jeff says he chose to paint representational scenes because he was drawn to recreating nature in a way that appeals to his senses and his ability to render paint to canvas. Painting for more than 40 years throughout Oregon and California, Jeff has had many satisfying artistic achievements. For example, Jeff’s painting of the “Mission San Carlos Borromeo de Carmelo” was purchased by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Office of Protocol and presented to Felipe Calderon, President of Mexico in 2007. Jeff’s cable television series “Painting with Jeff Nichols” was a success throughout the San Francisco Bay Area in the early 1980s. Jeff’s paintings adorn the walls of many corporations, and homes throughout the United States and abroad. Jeff says “my only purpose now is to capture a certain serenity in my paintings, while trying to bring the viewer into a place they would like to be”.
