Dennis Hartley                                     
A former architect, Dennis Hartley worked in Paris and Switzerland before becoming a noted furniture designer. He has recently put aside these pursuits to devote himself entirely to painting. His architectural background is evident in the composition, shape and structure of space. His paintings manipulate shape, color and tone to the edge of abstraction with forms becoming infused with ambiguity and a sense of mystery.
