I am an artist whose voice comes as much from an intimate and honest cultural point of view as from an aesthetic vision. I continue to explore life’s cyclical nature, the juxtaposition of the angle - the grid of our man-made quest for order with the supple and circular experience of our chaotic reality. I use the textures of “woman-made” and the disturbing honesty of feminine interruption, to expose our humanity as exquisite in its chaos. A lifelong fascination with Mother Nature and a devout attraction to decaying objects are ardent focuses. I believe the aged and deteriorating carry a defining, visceral beauty. RAW, uses my impressive collection of decaying clutter rescued from, scrap metal yards, roadsides, thrift shops, recycle bins and landfills and is created in collaboration with the elements.
