| The energy and color of Nancy Peacock's acrylics capture the very essence of her subject matter: jazz. From the first commissions for a jazz club in Seattle 15 years ago to her charged ensembles on canvas today, Peacock has found that audiences respond to her painting as enthusiastically as they do the music. Born in New York City, she is largely self-taught but has studied wood block printing in Japan on her way to the Northwest. She stays busy trying to capture the changing face of jazz, creating CD covers, murals, billboards and other commissions. |
