Kirk Jonasson

A lifelong Oregonian, Mr. Jonasson has found his favorite images while photographing his native Northwest environments.  “For me, photography is a vehicle for discovery – of internal and external landscapes”.  His more abstract images reflect his intuitive approach to the medium.  Believing that nothing can upstage the magic of creative visualization in the field, he avoids darkroom and computer manipulations when printing from his negatives.  He uses film exclusively and photographs with a medium format camera
