Susan Block will astound you with the magnificence of her horses and
figural work. Susan divides her time between her country home outside of Chicago and Colorado. She is a graduate of Syracuse University and has a Master's degree from the Chicago Art Institute. "When I find a subject that moves me, I do a lot of drawing and under painting. It takes a good deal of acuity to capture a horse on the hoof, however, my paintings are about more than the central image. I drip, scrape throw and slather my medium--acrylic or oil. My best work happens when I turn off my brain and let the part of me that paints--paint." |
